Jen

Jenny,

I hope you're right! I noticed yesterday that at least one of them was in the nest throughout the day. I'm thinking if there are babies, they just hatched within the past day or so :-D

This cordon bleu pair is confusing me terribly!!! I got so excited because it looked like they were both spending time in the nest, but I still haven't seen or heard any babies. The wait is killing me ~X(

Cordon Bleus will try your patience more than most species. You just can't check, they are so quick to abandon.

My pair would lay, hatch and then toss about the third or fourth day. So frustrating. And I didn't come anywhere near them.

slwatson Stacy, I feel your pain. My pairs are also completely messing me around and getting my hopes up for nothing. Repeatedly, lol. It's very frustrating but oh so rewarding when chicks do come. We must persevere! :D

I'm being good and staying away from the nest. I did snap this picture really quick last night so you could see what the nest looked like. I assume they spend a lot of time in that area because of the droppings on the leaves. I haven't seen any eggs or babies at the bottom of the cage yet. I'm hoping they haven't tossed anything.
