Society Fostering question

Post by a_gouldian » Sat Nov 05, 2016 11:00 pm

We have a pair of Self Societies we received from a breeder in late July. They successfully fostered 3 Owl Finches. The Owl Finches are over two months old now and healthy. Is that a good indication that the Societies are not C & C bacteria carriers?

Usually the best way to see if they have the cc disease is if they foster gouldians chicks successfully or not.

It is the gouldian chicks which are vulnerable, I don't know about the owl chicks.

gouldians (GB,YB,BB), blackbelly firefinches (trying to breed), societies (foster parents).
