Shannylee thanks! All have hatched. I'm expecting some not to make it though. I've read that some chicks get neglected or are not fed as much in bigger clutches.

5 of the 6 fledged. I know they are feeling free. Not much room with that many in there. Several had a few dingleberries but after a quick clean up, all is well in fledge-ville.

Re: Ms. Mary Mac
GouldianGuy hey there! Actually this is the first time I used four. I have a "system "
it all makes sense to me. One leg tells me who the mother is. Example: Ms Mary Mac. Light blue and black bands means she is black head split blue. The other band tells me who the father is. (Yellow back and orange head). For instance say another pair's babies are banded dark blue on one leg meaning the mother is blue and a green band on the other leg meaning the father is a greenback.
Before I have used one band but this time it have new pairs and tried a different method so I can tell who's babies are who's when the all/the whole flock go in a flight cage.
Did that make any sense???
I don't explain stuff very well sometimes...

Re: Ms. Mary Mac
GouldianGuy ok ...maybe this will help. One time Babs asked me about a bird. I looked at the bands and saw one leg had a dark blue band and the other leg had a yellow band. I knew that was Big Mommas baby because Big Momma is blue and her mate is yellow.
