Set up to breed blue parrot face finches

Hello, I am looking for any tips on how to set up my aviary to encourage my blue faced parrot finches to breed. Thanks

I would imagine offering lot's of live food and a well planted aviary with hiding places for your females (if they're anything like the Red throats). If they are like the Red throats, by the way, I would put in more females than males.

Please keep us updated, as I would really like to know how things work out for you with these pretty little guys.

Have you got any pictures of your aviary? Wouldn't mind seeing them.

flight cage will be ideal but breeding cage will do. half opened nest box is preferred. put some greenery around the nest so you wont spoke them when they incubate. Male and female will do, you dont have to put more females but not more males for sure.
feed them soft food but watch out for obesity. Try to inspect them once a month or so for fat belly. offer plain seed if they get fat. one pair per cage is recommended.

They are the males are aggressive usually when breeding they harass till the hen is sitting.Eat plenty of meal worms or maggot and soft food when they feeding chick's.Also mine like it densely brushed they love hiding away.

Looks like your Red faced PF's have been presenting you with all sorts of babies .

Yea, I was wondering if these guys were similar to the Red throat PF''s in their methods of romancing the ladies, lol. The Red throat boys, will hound the ladies half to death, before they settle down. They are definitely not gentle lovers .
