Breeding cycle break

Post by athens.asad » Tue Jul 18, 2017 2:04 pm

Dear Experts,
My gouldian pair has 2 clutches in last 2 months.
First they produce 5 eggs but didn't sit on them.Second time the hen layed 5 eggs and hatched but didn't feed the chicks.I see them again in breeding mood. They look fit .Shall i allow them or will it be too much stress on them?

Thanks

Personally I would let them breed again especially when they didn't even try the first clutch.

Good luck! Sounds like they are getting the hang of things

I limit my hens to 3 clutches.
So you have 1 more clutch to let them try again.
