I am being obnoxious making a new thread about my Java who I thought had no eyes and I embarrassingly seized up and had a panic attack.
Here are his beautiful EYEBALLS! I have never had a red-eyed finch and I am completely smitten with little guy. He looks very light brown. I bought my male off craigslist (thanks Elana ;) )......and he was raised with zebras, sat for months without a mate......then I found a female from a completely different source (on craigslist again) Now we have the "mystery mutation". Anyone got ideas on this color? Both parents look like normals (mom split to fawn....dad split to who-the-heck-knows)
The red-eyed Java kid opens his eyes!! Mutation?
