I've heard of canaries "playing dead" - mine go limp when they see they can't get away - but I've never heard of one actually dying. I'm so sorry!

I, too, am sorry to hear about your little one dying. I had one of my societies die in my hand while I was clipping her nails. I was devastated & cried for hours! I've been afraid to clip their nails ever since. :cry:
