Could anyone tell me what the males and females do in their courtship dance?
I have a female society, bought what is supposed to be a male society. Today I noticed the female crouched down on a perch with her wings raised up and fluttering. The 'male" was next to her in almost the same position.
How does the male do his courtship? Do you think I have two females?
To date, the male does not sing. Could he be too young? I was told by the breeder he is less than a year old. He is a bit smaller than the female.

Go here, http://www.finchinfo.com/birds/finches/ ... _finch.php it shows and explains how the male Society acts when singing/courting. There are many more links at the bottom of that page.
