If he's in a molt and not bothered by the other finches I would just put him will the rest however if he's sick than that is another story.

I am going to moving him to the larger cage Wednesday or Thursday.
I guess I am left with removing the older breeding pair into their own cage. It is about two weeks earlier then my life can handle right now. So I will let them get use to each other again and then add the nest later, that is if I see any sign of them becoming a couple again.

P.S.- the feather up that I will be receiving for my male that is stuck in a molt will it bother a finch if he/she is not stuck molting?
