Not to monopolize the thread, but my blue pair is a blue cock and a normal split to blue hen. Plenty of eggs, not one has been fertile. I have a feeling it might be the cock because he is 3 yrs old, was sold to one breeder, than another, then to me. I think if he was a producer he wouldn't have swtiched hands so many times.poohbear wrote:Mutations blue to blue are notorious for being unsuccessful.I always pair a blue to a normal.

Delayed? The red veins appear in about 5 days. If the eggs are still clear, they aren't going to change now. Fertile eggs only have a 7 day window of being viable so if they haven't been sitting on them all this time, they are can't be still living. Sorry, I know not what you wanted to hear.canucky2 wrote:really just remove them?! what if they are just delayed? It's hard to throw them away. I have been wanting babies... I've looked at them twice.... they are clear, no veins but are we really sure.....
yikes..... maybe thursday.
A hen sitting on infertile eggs is just wasting her time.
