I think you are right about the 2 males and 3 females. In this pic that I took today (19 days old) the 2 males are facing to the right, and the 3 females are facing forward.

Lucky I can watch and photograph these little ones on a dreary, snowy, April Fools day. 4-1-17,

a_gouldian - Do you see a trip to southern California in your future? Maybe in a few months when the kids are all grown up? I've been looking for a female for my lonely guy since last October. And since today is my B-day, it could be a belated B-day present...

Lol, Happy Birthday! No trips to California. It's too bad you don't live around here because we will have Cordon Bleus available this summer.

For my learning purposes, as shown on the Finch Information Center website, Blue Capped Cocks are exactly that, Blue capped... Are your males not capped because they are still fledging?

Yes, that is correct. I will post some pics of the adult male and a juvenile male that is now 2.5 months old.GouldianGuy wrote: For my learning purposes, as shown on the Finch Information Center website, Blue Capped Cocks are exactly that, Blue capped... Here are pics of the male adult parent bird and a male juvenile that is 2.5 months old (taken today) and still coloring up. In the last two weeks he started to get more turquoise on his head and breast. I read that they will be fully colored up at around 6 months old. These are the first juveniles we have had so we are learning as we go.

Congratulations!
They are beautiful! What kind of plant is that? I'm looking into adding one, but I'm not sure which one.

A.gouldian,
Do you breed lavenders? I'm looking for one as a companion for my lonely lavender.
Ana.

The plants are artificial and we picked them up at Michaels. it's best to wait until they have a 50% off sale. They had one last week on the greenery.France81 wrote: Congratulations! They are beautiful! What kind of plant is that? I'm looking into adding one, but I'm not sure which one.

We have been trying to breed Lavenders but so far our pair has not produced fertile eggs, although they have been laying a lot of eggsFrance81 wrote: A.gouldian,
