Hi Christopher,Christopher Smith wrote:Many of the post on this forum are related to the health, breeding and feeding. From your comment it sounds like you might think that most of us are having nothing but problems with our birds.

I guess on a forum like this it might appear that way, but I'm sure that manyof us here have many birds that we've had for years, that breed with no problems, and have long lives, as healthy as we can make them. But of course when things are going well, people are less likely to post here. They post only when they have problems... Doesn't mean that this is the case with most of their birds.
Partly because we ask questions here, we're able to offer healthier diets than birds used to get back in the days of seed only diets. I hope you weren't feeling defensive after your comments on making money with your birds. I don't think anyone here meant to accuse you of not caring for your birds. We wouldn't be here in the first place, and neither would you I wager, unless you are trying to do the best for them that you can.
The fact that you can make enough money from your birds for them to pay their way is terrific! I would think the best way to ensure you have a market for your birds is to make sure they are healthy. So don't feel you need to be on the defensive here. If you're here, we already know you care about your birds.
