My birds LOVE cucumber. Especially my courdon blues. They eat perfect circles out of the middle.
So how do you feed it? A thin slice? just in a dish? or what? Maybe it's the seeds they are after? Wish mine would just eat it plain... I get sick of chopping everything up for them like little babies!
I just slice it and put it into a dish. You should try it. I really think all birds like it. Yes, it is the seeds and the middle part they like.

Sorry Shawn,

Now why did I think you had societies?? Must be the age.... :(

Mine got right down to business after I tossed the first eggs. You are right in that they get over it faster than we do! Most animals are like that, they just live "in the moment", and don't waste time moping about what could have been, and get on with life!

Try to make it to the Bird Mart next year. I'm sure you will drool over all the birds like I did last year. You might find some nice additions from local breeders.

I am close to you (McKinney) and if you would like to 'car pool' we can try to arrange that. let me know.
2 polydactyl Snowflake felines and a new Panther non-poly feline.. Working on building the bloodline of the local Fawn Owls.
