Lol, I tried the mealworms a while back, because my book said they ate them. They refused, and then I came on here, and you all pretty much said they were a waste of money for zebs, so I never bothered again. It was mostly an experiment to see what they liked. I trusted you guys over my finch book, lol. If y'all had said pellets were bad, I wouldn't have switched right now, but I would have made sure seeds were also available.
A trio of happy zebs.

I have tried mealworms with my zebras and they loved them, so did the rest of the finches. If they didnt eat them, i know they were at least interested in them because they would fly down to the bottom of the cage and start pecking at them and some actually were eating them.

I'm thinking with these guys it's going to be hard to know exactly when they officially start sitting, since they already spend the majority of their time in the nest. Usually when they're in there, you can see the eggs, but Marley's right down on top of them. Could be just coincidence though, or me being overlly excited, it's a little early yet, I would think. I don't know if she laid any today, since I was at work, and they're asleep already.
A trio of happy zebs.
