Flight Feathers to be honest I’m really confused I’m thinking light back but he’s grey on the head and around the belly area but then the wings are like this fawn colour, also there’s an orange tint to the flanks then finally his tail like this

So am struck could it be saddleback or is this completely different am guessing loghtback like the mother or saddleback???

Saddle back is a heavy pied with only a patch of color on the back making a saddle shape. So if you have a gray saddleback the bird has only got a patch of a grey on its back and the rest of its body is white. Light back has a pure white tummy and very pale in colouring. I don’t think your finch is light back and it’s definitely not saddleback. Does it have breast barring yet? If so is there any orange in the breast barring?

Wow so many! Cute! Do they like exploring and stuff? Mine always do although I usually shift them to a smaller cage until they’re weaned. It’s fun watching them fly around the aviary tho.

Yes that’s about the only one I can think of. Does it have tear mark ? Or signs of one coming through?

How did know it, yesterdaymorning when i made my first checking round, i found two cheeks and their dad outside lmaking some exercises, cuze the night before at subset i don't close properly the cage door.

I moved them to a new large cage because they're 10 now , and it s hygienic matter, some of them are getting pop, and dad starts to chase other males si thzy will more distance to him

WITH the V join tear drop mark do those tears marks make a semi circle under the eye, now your bird is split for BC for sure, and yes it could also be split for BB , we will wait till huq full molt
