Is hatchling to big for little chicks

lovezebs hi sorry elana 3 of the 4 fertile eggs hatched and 3 are still alive and healthy big food storage.

I have a pair of society’s with 5 eggs aswell and the male keeps coming over and feeding the big chick and the 3 little ones with Caremark and coco so they are all being fed by 3 adults

And no the chick hasn’t fledged it’s due to in a few days he’s getting really big now in on holiday at the moment but installed a live camera and can see him sticking his head out the nest shoring for parent s

It sounds like everything is going well!

If there's enough of an age difference between the older chick and the younger ones, the older one might start feeding the others once it fledges. One of my previous society finches, Patches, helped feed nine babies while he was still being fed by the parents.

Hi Fraza i 've told u don' t worry every thing will be alright. I'm pretty sure that tje Big guy will participate in the weaning of the little junior siblings
Yeah for my case Unfortunatly the eggs were dude. But again the mate starts to play and try to build a nest in the bottom corner od the cage. n

And yep u were right everything has enededbuo fine the little chicks are doing great and the big one is ready to fledge keeps sticking his head out of the nest
