Formula under the nails and a bit of bird poop in one's hair... sure signs of a bird person, lol.

Only one male, but it seems that some of the greens are split to dilute, for i had seen a yellow (or silver) hatchling in a nest a couple of days ago, and i was like \:D/

Unfortunately he was found dead the day after

Not sure if the parents did not feed him because he was different, or if he was just weak. The other five are growing healthy :-??

Ricardo Ronsini

That's not good, sorry to hear that.

Who is your yellow male paired up with?
What other colours is he (red head, purple breast, orange head, white breast???)

He is a yellow body, purple breast, orange head.

I tried to pair him up with a green body, purple breast, red head female, but without success, by now he is hanging out with my zebras, for i don't have any female avaliable, the girls seem to like green guys best.

Red heads will go for the red heads, black heads will go for the black heads, and yellow (orange) heads with yellow heads.

Sending you some yellows: :D

Well folks,

I found my little green guy out again, this time sitting in the bath water.

Scooping him out I dried him up and tucked him back into the nest for the night. I also removed the container with their morning bath for now, seeing as I don't want any nasty morning surprises.

He appears to be the smallest of the five, and I honestly think the others are pushing him out of the nest.

They look great.

Poor little one, it must be like:

- You first (kick in the ass).

- Did you die?

I'm afraid the nest is not as clean as the picture, lol.
I figured we all see enough bird poop to last a life time, so we don't need to see more of it in pictures.

I simply blotted out the poopies on my tablet, so you can see the kids, not the poops.

Once they're all out of the nest, I'll give it a good soaking in a mild bleach solution to get rid of all the poopies, a good scrub with the old toothbrush, rinse, and dry in the sun treatment.

I think today will be banding day.

Just colour bands, so that I can keep track of this clutch in my own records.

Also I want to give the little monsters a good look over to make sure everything is where it ought to be.

The Yellows, should be close to a month old now, with the greens a bit younger.
