It didn't make it. I really think something was wrong with it from the get-go. We tried!

But.... the other two are doing great. Very pretty birds but totally different in color. I know someone mentioned the greenish one may be a dilute, but is it possible for it to be a normal if the dad is a yellowback?

I swear it's back is almost as green as its moms.

okay... I I know this is an old post, but...... it has happend again.

This same gouldian has had four eggs she has been sitting on the past two weeks. This morning I checked and one has hatched and I haven't a clue where the other three eggs are. I guess she ate them.

Anyway..... the one that hatched is NOT a gouldian (again) It is the same one as in the picture in this post. As Sally put it..... it looks like a wide mouth bass. She is being very protective of it. Originally we thought that it might be a silverbill, but now I KNOW it isn't because I have rehomed my silverbills to a classroom at a school. So there are no silverbills.

Last time she tossed it because it looked different I guess. This time it is the only one. I guess I will see if she will take care of it after all the effort she has put into it. If I get a chance I am going to take another picture . So here we go again.....
