we just recently had a period of 14 days of 100+ temperatures, I was worried that I would lose some of my birds as my aviary is the typical outdoor type that we have in australia.
I was so relieved to find that the heat had the opposite efect on the birds.
the firefinches have 2 young in their nest, orange breasted have 3 young, bengalese/society's have 6 eggs, gouldians have 5 eggs and the button quail never stop laying eggs for anything, in 3 months I have gone from 1 trio to having 14.
not going to mention the zebra finchs as I believe these feathered rabbits could breed on the moon lol
extreme hot weather

Ouchy. Sorry about losing the babies. That heat can really do some damage.
I hope it cools off out there!! It's currently 30deg F in Connecticut, USA. We're anticipating warm temperatures.
Oh wow!! You have button quails!! I've been looking for someone to talk to about them!! I adore them, but I've never cared for them. Are they a challenging to care for? Any special maintenance
