i have had 7 sets of eggs now my birds are over 1 year old and they ever sit on the eggs, one time 2 hatched and lived like 2 days i didnt even see them take interest in them, these are zebra finches, my spice finched did the same but they sat pretty good but did not hatch out

That is too bad you are having trouble with your Zebras. Maybe they are just too tired and need a rest from it all. :-k

With 35 eggs laid, the hen definitely needs a break. I would separate the male and female--can you put the two hens in one cage and the two males in another? She is not incubating these eggs, so there is no reason to keep letting her lay them.

ok sally i will try that if they dont hatch these eggs. i am wondering why they are not sitting on them

I agree with Sally give them a rest and see what happens it may bring their interest back to caring for their eggs.
