Ever notice how HUGE Gouldian eggs are compared to Zebras, Shaft-tails, and other birds of similar size? It amazes me that a Gould hen can even pass an egg that large. It also suprises me that they can incubate all those eggs, sometimes up to 7-8 and they all hatch.
I bought a new pair of Goulds and in the morning, the hen laid an egg on the cage floor without much effort. 15 minutes later she laid a second egg that wasn't completely formed. These birds are amazing!

I didn't look at them, but my husband told me how big they were. That's crazy!
