Yes, the rest of the eggs are Star eggs. I have a feeling, from the number (10), that it is two clutches. They have been in a Society nest and nothing else happening, so I think they are a lost cause.
Stars can be difficult. They are usually really good about building a nest, and even laying eggs, but then they forget what they are supposed to be doing. I had a Star pair once, the hen laid the eggs and figured that was all she had to do, the male did most of the incubating and most of the feeding and rearing. The next breeding season, he had a new mate, and he acted like he had never been a parent before. I had to foster two clutches till they finally raised their own.
This year, I set up three pairs--one has laid lots of infertile eggs, one has hatched and tossed, and the last pair are raising their second clutch. But they are still one of my favorite birds--lots of personality.
