here are a couple of pics. one shows the 4 eggs in the painted finch nest, the other shows the hen in the nest. I candled the 4 eggs today and sob sob sulk pout they all appear to be clear

wow thats a nice nest, aww i hope that the eggs are fertile, i guess theres always next clutch

Sorry the eggs weren't fertile, mickp. It is so frustrating to get eggs, but clear. Doesn't seem like she used very much nesting material to make her nest--is that how firetails do? I see lots of feathers, though. Better luck next time.

Hey, at least they're nesting! My pair MAYBE knows that a nest is in their cage......
