Males on Males

Post by cindandrews » Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:52 pm

I am a new finch owner of 6 months and have both males and females. I had to separate the sex's due to many babies. Hmmm the males seem to be wanting each other and YES they are all males in the same cage. Am i not to seperate them or is this common. The girls are not loving each other like that. Embarrassed but inquiring is this normal???

Hi cindandrews and nice to meet you.
Yes, it's a normal situation cause fiches are society birds and, if they have not a "normal" partner, it's normal that they want to stay with an other bird..even if it's a male as like them !
Don't worry, when every male will have a female as like before all will be normal...
But....you say only finches...but of wich kind of finches we are talking about?
Zebra? Society? Gouldians?

There is who dreams of rich, powerful or famous being, my dream instead would be of being like a celebre ornithologist... that loved to be called simply "John Gould, the man of the birds"
