Gouldian bonding

Post by ademel_07 » Wed Dec 25, 2013 3:52 am

my male gouldian does not seem to like the female gouldian. I noticed him hissing at her when she tries to go near him and the same when she tried to cross over him. The male is singing though, but when she goes near him, he stops. Looking at their beaks, are they in breeding condition? If not any suggestions as to how he can be less hostile towards her? :)

I don't know that there is anything you can do to force them to like each other  Sometimes they are just not compatible. When mine pick their own mate they usually pick the same head colors as they have. Is it possible to switch mates?
Over time they may learn to except each other. Problem is, if they really are not compatible and well bonded they usually aren't the best parents either.
good luck
