Hi,

Okay, so everything is going fine as far as I can tell but one of my baby finches isn't begging as loudly today. Its like he's just not that interested. Is this typical of when they start to fledge? He seems okay otherwise. Just quieter than usual.

Have you checked the crop to see if it's getting fed?

My fledglings are just as loud, if not louder, than when they were in the nest. Even though they are already trying out food, they beg a lot. If the baby is getting quieter, I agree with fairestfinches--check the crop to see if he is being fed.
