white zebras
If i breed an all white male with any color of zebra can i get an all white baby or will it be pied? Does the male and female have to be completely white to get an all white baby? Any info helps.

Breeding a white to a normal gray will give you all gray. All of the gray chicks from this mating will be split for white, but they all show as gray. To get white chicks, you must breed white to white, or to one that is split for white. You can breed daughter to dad (she is a split white) and you will get as an average 50% gray to 50% white chicks. Breeding back one time is not detrimental, but I would stop there. Take these new white chicks and mate them to unrelated grays, to create more splits. You can take those splits if you desire and mate them to their *cousins*, but the ratio of whites will decrease to 25% as white. You will get whites from those splits (even though the parents are grays), and breed out again for fresh DNA, or breed those togather with no ill effects. Breed fresh DNA in occasionally to keep your birds vibrant.
Of course, doing all of this, make sure you have the room for lots of birds, or homes/pet stores for them. Good luck.
