hiya i have 3 zebra finches in my aviary 2 males 1 hen and the strange behaviour is that the 2 males a creating a nest together and neither of them are letting the female go near it to add stuff in. if ever she goes near them they both chase her away. what will be the best option for this? i would like them to breed but would be impossible with the 2 males pairing together

If you want to breed them, put a male/female pair together--trios just don't work for breeding. Are you sure of the sex of each one?

it sounds like the two males have paired up instead of a male and female. i would remove one of the males and let the other pair up with the female. it would have been virtually impossible to breed with two males in there anyway because of aggression issues. i hope this helps

Or you could get another female, then hopefully they will pair off, if not you could seperate on pair off for a few weeks then there will be time for the birds to get to know each other and pair up.
