5 Zebra eggs already!!!

Post by Choxie79 » Fri Jun 20, 2008 10:29 am

Hello,
I just got my Zebras 2 weeks ago and they already have 5 eggs laid and I think she is done. She has been staying in the nest longer than before.
I give them a seed mix and she also has a bathing dish and a cuttlebone.
Is there any advice or tips you guys may have for me. It's my first time owning birds so I'm a little nervous.

I have read many books, but as I learned with my bearded dragon most books are out dated and the best info comes from forums full of wonderful people who work with these animals hands on every day. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Thank You!!!

Start giving them eggfood...hard boiled eggs grated, mixed 50/50 with a commercial boxed eggfood from your local petshop. There are many different diets for chicks but this is a good basic diet for almost all finch chicks.Easy to eat and loadsa protein.

If you plan to check the nest do it fast and not to often. Everything should be fine, I have babies everywhere.
