This morning when I turned on the light for the birds Mary (my society) didn't come off her nest which is unusual.

As soon as the light goes on they are busy eating and what not. So I was kind of worried and I needed to clean the cage anyways so I thought I would check the nest..Finally an egg!!!

Just a bit EXCITED!
Thank you all so much for the advice you gave me!

Congratulations!!!
Finally, eh? This is wonderful news on a rainy Sunday morning.
Now you can expect another egg baby tomorrow and the next day, and so on.
So Polly, is the Mommy, do we know who the Daddy is?

Moriarty is the Dad..They're the only two in that cage. I thought it would be best to have each pair in their own cage..I should have suspected it when she was attacking the cuttle bone and has been excited when I put the eggs and crushed eggshells in the cage. She was never that excited about it before.

This is very eggciting!
So now the wait begins for your young couple, and for you as well.
I wonder how many egg babies she'll present you with before she decides to sit down tight and incubate. Once they sit tight, you'll be able to calculate a fairly accurate hatching date.

Two and counting. Wonderful news!
Make sure your girlie has lots of cuttle bone, and crushed egg shells, for the extra calcium she needs. Also hard boiled egg, both for herself, and also to get them (parents) used to eating it, so that they will feed it to the infants when they hatch.
