It's really the same as the Normal mutation only they will have a yellow body and no black. Can you post a picture?

In Purple Breast, the males coloring will be darker and hen lighter just as in the Normal body gouldians also. White Breast can be a little trickier.
Good luck and please post with what you get :)

sharath1 To confuse further, I will show you some picture of Yellows. The orange head is a hen, (the guy that I bought her from said so), but to me she looks almost like a cock.

When I breed them, I watch for a bird that sings = male.
I usually figure this out before they finish molting into their adult colors.

Most of my YB have not been as difficult to visually sex as some of my GB. For most hens I look for a mottled head and a faded/lighter breast color. But I have had GB hens where their colors were as dark as the males. And hens were the head color was not mottled. So going on visuals is not always reliable. So in the end, I relied on males singing and hens not singing, to sex the birds.

My sincere apologies in the middle picture, it is the hen on the right and the cock on the left.

It looks like the male is going thru a molt.

I have to wait for mine to sing also. I purchased what myself and the breeder thought was a yellow female, and turned out to be a male because he was a delayed singer.

Sure can, only I've know a few hens that had very long tail wires.
