Gouldian different Colour mutations - breeding

Post by athens.asad » Thu Aug 25, 2016 5:10 am

Hello,

I have a simple question .Can a black head green back female breed with a yellow back ,lilac chest white head male gouldian like in the picture. Will they have fertile eggs .Or does a black head hen only has better chances of breeding with a black or red head male.

Thanks

The bird pictured is a BH.LB.SF Pastel (BlackHead.LilacBreast.SF Pastel) You know he's Single Factor because his head is a grey color and not black or white.
If the picture is misleading and he has a white head then he is a BH.LB.DF Pastel
He can absolutely breed with and raise healthy chicks with a BH.Green

Beautiful bird, best of luck
