Hello All,
I have bought a orange-red head lilac chest male for my black head lilac chest hen .Touch wood the male bird is very active and they have started the courtship. Can someone tell me what could be the possible outcomes of a orange head lilac chest male and a black head lilac chest female as seen below.I am particularly interested if there is any chance of red/orange head offsprings .

P.S -The male is not perfect red. Please have a look at the head colour .

Thanks in advance

Your male is a YH.PB.Green (YellowHead.PurpleBreast.Green)
Your hen is a BH.PB.Green (BlackHead.PurpleBreast.Green)

You will get, barring any hidden genes:

All males: RH/BH/YH.PB.Green (RedHead split to BlackHead split to YellowHead.PurpleBreast.Green)

All hens: RH.YH.PB.Green (RedHead split to YellowHead.PurpleBreast.Green)

Beautiful birds!
Best of luck
