Bullet's Babies

Post by Madcat » Sun Sep 25, 2016 12:28 pm

I noticed yesterday that both had been in the together a lot lately so I checked today. Babies!!!! :P so they're 2 or three days old. Bullet and his mate were good parents last season so let's hope they remember what to do!

I will take a stab and say that you have yellows? Or is it blue that leads to the pale babies?

Banding Bullet's babies today. They're so soft and sweet I don't want to put them back in the nest. Still hard to believe these little ones can get so loud!

OOOOOO i wanna take a stab at these.

1. Your two yellow babies are RH, oh/-, PC/wc, YB/blue hens
2. Your two dark babies are PROBABLY RH/bh, oh/-, PC/w, Dilute(GB/YB)/blue cocks
3. The little middle one is the toughest... Depends if male or female. Given how white I'll guess RH, oh/-, PC/w, YB/DF blue (Silver) hen

Sorry about the colours... I had fun haha

I haven't bred Gouldians (yet) but I can imagine it's like when you get a pack of hockey cards (or baseball cards for the 'Muricans :-J ). You never know what you're going to get and you really really hope you get that rookie card!!

GouldianGuy funny... I used to go to card shows and sell baseball cards with an old friend. Yes, very exciting!

Well, I took out the juveniles this weekend and they are enjoying space in the flight cage. I noticed I didn't see Bullet or his mate lately so I decided to check on the new eggs.... I guess they were sitting on them longer than I thought
