African Green Finch pair (Mozambique) DO NOT WANT TO BREED

Hi,
I purchased a male and female pair of African Green Finches as juveniles last year. It has been just about 1 year and they are showing signs of being interested in mating. He is feeding her, sings to her constantly during the day and I have seen him attempt to mate with her. The issue is that I DO NOT want to raise chicks. My question is if I don't ever put a nest in the cage and they are so interested in mating, will there ever be a risk of aggression between them if their mating is met with a nest less cage? Thanks in advance.
They seem very happy with each other at this time.
