Hi All,

It was inevitable...

While checking on the kids this evening, I spooked Teddy or Timmy off his nest, and sure enough, look what I found....

The rare Zebra Finch mutation, known as a Pinky.

AHHH it's so cute!!! Vilu is on her nest too, but the last egg isn't scheduled to hatch intil the 14th ;A; I'm so excited to get my very own pinky!

I have a feeling, that there may be several pinkies in the near future over here.
I've got a basket full of Zebras and Socies, all sitting together on something like 7 or 8 eggs.

A Zebra trio, sitting on some Zebra and a couple of Gouldian eggs.

Another couple sitting on 3 Waxbill eggs that got tossed.

Plus Pinkie's nest, with another 4 eggs in there. Sitting on this nest, is a single father from what I can tell. I lost one of my girls a little while ago, when her foot got caught on some plant material in the flight. I do believe this girl was his mate, because he's sitting alone, poor little guy. Hopefully he'll be able to manage. Will have to park some food and water right up close to his nest.

I have no idea how many eggs are fertile, and how many will hatch, and I'm not going to fiddle around with them.
Whatever will be, will be.

I'd better start cooking more hard boiled eggs as of tomorrow morning
