Blue-capped Cordon bleu Juv 2 months old
Here is a pic of one of our Blue-capped Cordon Bleu juvs from our first clutch. Almost two months old. They are very hard to take pics of because they don't stay still very long while I am trying to take a pic! This clutch of three is doing very well. They are very lively and love to sing.

What a handsome little youngster.
I really love the Blue Caps, but we very rarely see them over here. Usually only the Red cheek CB's.
Beautiful pictures

It looks like we are going to have an excess of Blue-caps this year. 3 juvs, 5 nestlings that are 13 days old, 5 other eggs that should hatch later this week, and possibly another 5 more eggs just starting to be incubated.lovezebs wrote: a_gouldian

a_gouldian - You are so lucky! They sure are coming along nicely. Here in southern California we have the same problem as Elana in Calgary: lots of red cheeks but no blue caps anywhere around. I've been looking for a female for my lonely guy since last October. Wish you didn't live so far away!
