GouldianGuy

Here is uncropped shot showing the nest box. It is a home made box with a hinged cover that hangs on the outside of the cage. This is used by the Societies that raised the chicks. The Cordon Bleu adults are in a large flight cage and use a large size wicker basket. Unfortunately, the Cordon Bleu adults toss chicks (we suspect the male, even though we give them plenty of live mini meal worms and dried blood worms) but they are good at producing fertile eggs. If we can find another Cordon Bleu eventually and breed it to one of our juveniles when they get older maybe we will have parent raised success.

a_gouldian - Congratulations! They are adorable and so healthy looking. Your societies did a great job raising them.
To me it looks like you might have 3 girls and 2 boys.

That's what I was thinking. I thought 2 boys, 2 girls, and wasn't sure about the other one.

I'll try to remember to take a pic of the whole cage this weekend. There is not really much more. All the greens are at one end and then there are a few more perches. Its a Prevue Hampton Deluxe breeder cage.

It's a shame when they start tossing chicks, often it becomes a vicious habit, almost impossible to get ride.

And i have seen only males doing that, never heard of females.
