New breeders shelf

Bill made me this new breeders shelf! Hard to tell from the distance of the shot, but with the dark stain, the bird's colors really pop out! This frees up a lot of space, as I was using 3 larger flights for breeding and running out of room. Now I can merge two of those other flights and make a 3rd double flight for my non breeding adults!.

Very nice,

to Billy boy.
I need something similar and taller, to bring some flights up higher. I find that standing hunched over to clean, is absolutely killing my poor old back.
So tell Bill and Bubba:
Road trip North
4×4
Canada
Steak, eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes breakfast waiting.

FOOD!!!

Oh, I am ON that!!.
That workshelf on the live is a lifesaver. No more bending to organize bowls, dishes etc... My back was taking a beating too. *OUCH!

I don't know why when they build these flights, they don't take this into consideration.
When you consider how many of these flights come with no legs, or short legs, it's just stupid.

What would be so bad about something like this?
I mean could be taller and wider, but the general idea?
Darn it, not sideways of course

I love the idea in you sketched

, except for the shelves underneath. My 66" wide double flights have lower shelves and they are a son-of-gun trying to get a vacuum underneath them. Bill has to tilt them back precariously so the vacuum will reach all the way to the wall.
With the lighting fixtures and the heat lamps plugged in , its too difficult to roll those suckers around to vacuum.
The top shelf would work, but the lower two I think would be a problem. .

Ok,
X the lower shelves then.
I can def see our point.
What I would also like to see in some of these flights, is a plexi glass back wall, (or even a half wall) rather than bars, which would cut back on a lot of the 'behind the cage mess' that seems to always accumulate.

I was thinking the same after we put this up. I'd hate to block the bird's view of the double sliding glass door. Plexiglass sounds like a great idea.
Seed in the back by the wall is such a pain.

Sometimes Im crawling on the floor to get the seed back there.

I was just contorting myself with the hoover hose thingie yesterday, pulling out the tables that my long flight sits on (no wheels) trying to get at that back area.... and then my damn vacume clogged up, darn it to hell.
A back wall of plexi glass
A spray bottle with warm water and a drop of Dawn soap, and a squeegee....
Spray, squeeg, and done, sigh of relief.....
I should check out the prices of plexi sheets....

I bought this little mini vacuum. It fits under all my other flight cages. And remember all mine are on carpet. It works amazing.
Super light weight and has a great powerful roller-brush and suction. Im thinking of getting another for upstairs.
