I can't believe how quickly they've grown, and just how beautiful they are

Thank you everyone. I am so happy these parents are doing so well... Mom RCCB is sitting on the nest again and the OC's are touching up their nest so I am anxious to see if they can be successful again. After this I'll let them rest til next year.

What are you feeding them to keep you cordons from tossing the chicks?

Thank you A_Gouldian.
Chrismurdoch3- I feed them live mealworms and freeze dried mealworms, dried blood worms along with their regular seed, egg food, and greens.

Im curious how does the diet of adding mealworms prevent them from tossing?

Very often these tiny Waxbills will toss their chicks or abandon them, if they don't have life foods made available to them.

They tossed their first set of babies before I started giving them live mealworms.
