Hi again guys, sorry to bother you but i'm new to this, and couldn't find an anwser elsewere, so my javas have been mating for a week maybe, then few days ago they stopped and the female lay'd 2 eggs 1 she lay'd on the perch so unfortunatelly it broke, the other one she lay'd in the nest, and today after she lay'd the second egg, again they did their dance and mated, so i wanted to ask if this is normal behaviour to mate while in egg laying period or is she doen laying ?

would appreciate if you would share your expierence's

It seems normal. Java finches have pretty large clutches, so you could probably expect another 2-6 eggs from her.

So it dosent mean that after 1 succesful mating she lays 6 egg for example she mates in between them its normal yes ?

Because i was thinking that after a succesful mating they lay all the eggs, and only start mating again after they raise the chicks or atfer they hatch

They will mate until the eggs are finished laying. One mating can fertilize a whole brood, but the odds increase that every egg will be fertilized if they mate as much as they can.

i see and another question i have a wooden nest, and for some reason they put nesting material all over the inside of the nest exept 1 "bald" spot where the eggs are directly on the wood no material under them is that a problem ? because in all the pictures i see there is always material under the eggs, i also tryed to put material in that spot but they remove it after some time

If they remove the nesting material that you put under the eggs i think the eggs should be fine laying directly on the wood. hopefully there is enough nesting material around the bald spot so that the eggs can't roll around the nest and get lost or broken.
I have never bred java so i don't know if that is typical for them to leave a open spot to lay their eggs in the nest but i know that other species that i have bred in the past as some of the pairs did that and their babies hatched out and were fine. so just keep an eye on it and make sure the eggs are getting incubated properly.
