Society finch - 5 eggs, 16 days, no babies

I Have a couple of society finches, my first ones.
They are young, around 6-8 months.
I put a nest and several days after , I got 1 egg, and so on
for a total of 5. Now it has been 16 days after the fifth egg, or 21
days after the frst one...
The eggs are not good ,right?
Is there any chances that there are babies in there?
If not , should I take the nest out to give them some rest?
What should I do?
If the eggs are no good like I think, is it something common?

Thanks

I would wait a couple more days and if nothing has happened then it is time to candle the eggs.

If the eggs turn out to be infertile or no good for any reason, I'd personally remove the nestbox as these Societies seem a bit young at only 6-8 months old. I know they're "only" Society Finches but still 6 months is pretty young for breeding. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thats it!
I took out the nest and checked the eggs...none fertile.
I will keep the nest out for 2 weeks then I will start over.

I would wait until the birds are a few months older before encouraging them to breed.
