I recently acquired a nice flock of Java finches. I am wondering if anyone has ever used a nest such as this one made from a plastic bucket? Thoughts? I will add a perch. Hope to hear from other java lovers!

That's a neat idea.

Although my Javas are not breeding, I have used sturdy cardboard boxes as nest boxes for other finch species.

The little bucket is cool. Where did you find one that size?

javajerry I have no experience with Java finches, but I do like that bucket nest. It will be interesting to see if the birds like it as well.
