Fraza, how long have they been in the aviary?

If this is a recent home for them, they have to understand that this is their territory. That might take some time, although I wouldn't expect it would take long for these two species.

The last time I tried breeding my society finches, they spent 1-2 weeks taking turns sitting on an empty nest before they laid eggs. Another time one of the females only laid eggs after a month of nest access and daily matings. Some of them breed immediately, while others take some time to get comfortable.

I haven't found one large enough yet. The hopper feeder I currently use holds 1-2 weeks of food, so I'm sticking with it for now.
