I'm adding picks below I checked the nest because I saw the zebs breed but it was literally about a second so didn't think anyway but still waited 5 days and checked to see if any eggs and they WAS WHOOP also good news they are even incubating it even tho it's only one egg
Then whilst I was in there checking ginge started flickering her tail to coco with a piece of hay and coco came over and bred for about 5 seconds the. After I took oicture of the egg then coco grabbed a piece of hay and started dancing and she flickered her tail and bred again now they are building a nest.
So I'm certain zeb and society's chicks are on the way
GINGE IS MY FEMALE SOCIETY FONCH
COCO MY MALE SOCIETY FINCH
Alsothe last picture is my female zeb do use think she's overweight or just healthy

Congrats! I like your coconut nests.
I don't have zebras, or know much, but my first thought was she looked a bit overweight. I'm definitely not an expert, or even knowledgeable so don't listen to me. And she looks healthy either way.

You know Fraser, it's very hard to tell from a picture. She looks round, but that could just mean that she's chilled and fluffing up her feathers.
What you can do, is grab her and hold her upside down in your hand. Blow on the feathers on her chest and tummy untill you can see skin. If there are yellow patches under the skin, those are fatty deposits. They sort of look like gross chicken fat. If you see these, then she's fat.
She should be well fleshed on her chest, shouldn't feel her breast bone sticking out, but without fatty deposits.
Watch the diet, seeds, greens, eggs, but no sugars or sweets added.

Yeh I only give her seeds then throughout the week I gave her egg and lettuce or cabbage on my other thread you will see my special treat I've gave them all but that's a one off when they are breeding and she's the one who's laid eggs so making sure she has the calcium
But just seeing her today she looks very round compare to the others in the aviary and waondered if she's overweight I will try and catch her tomorrow but she's very fast and don't want to push her tummy because she's laying eggs at this moment

lovezebs never knew that was what the yellow patches were. Guess the treats are getting cut from the chicken's diet. They mostly have yellow spots. A few don't though
