Caramel has laid an egg my society finch, I can’t belive it because she’s paired with coco they share the same bed but they have not bred once from what I’ve seen, also ginge only just died cocoa last mate so didn’t think he would move on that quick haha
Anyway I’m happy because now I’ve know they’ve paired up

Good news.

Societies seem to get over these things faster than some other species. I'vehad some species, who actually grieved for a long time before taking up with another bird.

Yeh surprising I think it was down to the other pair aswell, because they kicked this female out of the nest so she decided to join coco and then pop an eggs appeared.
but good news I guess also my heaters been deleivered today.

I am so glad your coco may have found true love with caramel !! Zebra babies on the way ....always exciting !! Hey maybe some society babies soon
