pair has laid a couple of clutches totaling 8 eggs over about a 2-3 week period......no hatchlings, but still sitting on them. How long will they sit? I'm sure some must not be fertile but not sure how long to let them sit before removing.

Hello,
Gouldis will generally incubate their eggs for approximately 14-18 days. HOWEVER , if your not sure when the first or last egg was laid, or when they began to sit tight, I would allow an extra week to 10 days, just to make sure that you are not tossing out eggs which may yet hatch.
Here's some information, which you may find helpful:

Good luck.

Betty,
Yes, I started with my flock - which includes a pair of Gouldians - in Feb of this year. We have had two different clutches but have not yet been successful.

Oh... My Gouldians are very interested in their nest right now, I am hoping they will raise young. They are in a flight room and nest checks would be a no no .

.
This is my first time trying to breed Gouldians, so maybe we can learn together !!! I would be very interested in how this turns out for you...hopefully it will go well
I am wishing you the best of luck and please keep posting on progress !!!
