How old are the hatchlings? There comes a point where they do stop sitting on them, as they are big enough not to need the constant warmth, and just go in for feeding and sleeping.

Are they still feeding them? do you hear the babies call for food, and one of the parents goes in? Can you look at them and see if their crops are being filled?

Gracie85 hi they are really young and she wasn’t feeding them and the Dad wasn’t interested and they lost all energy and I thought they was dead.

So it was time for coco to do action hahaha

I swapped the nest and within two minutes coco was in there feeding them next minute coco two females started feeding them and coco chick that is 5 week old even fed them haha.

Society’s are the best !!

I had a look after they was fed and they looked great and started moving around again so it looks good

Fraza

Maybe still a bit young to breed responsibly.

Fraza. Ur bird are little bit young to breed. The best way is to wait till the hens arrive to the age of one year.
Somebreeders use a 9 month aged cok with an old hen +one year..

Fraza

I know that Zebras are capable of breeding at a very young age, but just because they can, doesn't mean they should.

Some might simply not be mature anough mentally to raise a clutch of chicks.

Just my personal oppinion.

haroun lovezebs yeh ino I agree I just got told last time three months was too young and atleast wait to 6 months and then 9 months is good so I waited until 9 months but now this isn’t a good age either so is it basically 1 year and upwards and I’ve only had clutch that has hatched luckily but atleast I know now to stop the breeding for 3 months.

Thanks guys

Fraza.....these birds are barely 7-8 months old

For any worthwhile results you wanna be breeding from em when there at least 1 year old,

this is std testament and is not rocket science and is clearly why yer birds are unsuccessful at the moment,

Best tip I can give yer mate is wait until April spring of next year and this will also give em the required nutritional build up during the winter months and should be ready for next spring and with a lot more higher chance of being successful
