Help?
Hey guys it's me Nick again. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I do however have a question. Last week I was staying at my sister's house for a few days and when I got home I checked on my birds. The fledglings were doing good but they have gotten lazy and have been staying in the nest except for when they would eat and drink, might be to stay warm. However that's not my question. My question is: is my momma bird going to be okay? I came home to find that she had layed 2 eggs. One was hollow but in tact on the bottom of the cage but she must have layed it down there because it had bird seed stuck to it. The other was probably layed from a perch because it was broken on the bottom of the cage. I just want to know if she is going to be okay or not.
Nick

Re: Help?
The mother bird should be fine. My finches often lay eggs on the ground when they are raising babies. If the babies are fledglings I would remove the nest.
