Basic finch breeding questions

1. Can 2 female society finches foster gouldian finch eggs
2. Are java sparrows hard to breed? Do they throw their babies out of the nest
3. Can 2 female society finches foster canary eggs?

2. No, they are very good parents, not known for throwing chicks out, can also foster other finches as well as societies.
3. Maybe. It is possible, but you need a really good foster pair, because canary babies don't act like finch babies when they first hatch - newborn finches turn their heads to the sides to ask to be fed and canaries stand up high. If the nest is covered, the finches can't feed the canaries if they're pushing their heads up into the roof. It can work if your finches use an open canary-type nest basket.

Really? A pair of female societies can foster gouldians? Lol it sounds to good to be true

Societies will hatch anything in their nest, and usually Gouldians are one of the species they have the easiest time feeding.
